The USDA Forest Service’s mission is to sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of the nation’s forests and grasslands to meet the needs of present and future generations.
Each year, the Agency offers funding opportunities to support partners and field units in implementing innovative and collaborative approaches to meeting this mission.
On this site you will find the applications for two of these funding opportunities. Each has unique requirements and deadlines:
- Citizen Science Competitive Funding Program
All agency units and partners are invited to apply for up to $25,000/project. Learn more about the program here: https://www.fs.fed.us/working-with-us/citizen-science/competitive-funding-program
- Wilderness Stewardship Performance Internal Funding Program
Only agency units are invited to apply for up to $50,000 per project. Learn more about the program here: https://usdagcc.sharepoint.com/sites/fs-nfs-wsp/ (link only works for agency employees)
- While this program is open only to agency units, partners are encouraged to apply for similar funding opportunities which are available through our partnership with the National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance: http://www.wildernessalliance.org/funding_programs
